Application

A hoof cast for quick help with acute hoof problems or as therapeutic support for chronic issues. A tool every professional should have with them in their daily work.
Application must be carried out exclusively by professionals!

Instructions for use
  1. Trim the hoof as usual and lightly sand the hoof wall.
  2. Then remove any dust from the hoof wall.
  3. Apply a few thin lines of superglue, spread across the entire hoof wall.
  4. Remove the cast from the packaging and begin wrapping. Wear disposable gloves for this.
  5. Start at the heel and wrap the cast around the hoof as needed. The cast must be wrapped tightly! Note: the cast must always remain below the coronary band and heel bulbs.
  6. After the hoof has been cast, the entire cast and hoof must be moistened. In combination with air and moisture, the cast now begins to harden.
  7. Place the hoof on a wet towel and allow the cast to harden. This process takes approximately 10–15 minutes.
  8. After the cast has hardened, any folds and protruding pieces above the coronary band and heel bulbs should be carefully cut away.
  9. Do not leave the cast on for more than 2 to 3 weeks. The application can be repeated multiple times with a fresh cast!

Note! Hoof casts should only be applied by hoof professionals and veterinarians!

Storage
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a sealed container in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes.
